Be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for everything pertaining to the player character on a AAA FPS project (3C, player abilities, player progression & player customization). Design, prototype, implement and balance player character related features and systems. Create clear and concise documentation that will be used to coordinate the development of the different features and systems. Participate in quality and accessibility assessment efforts such as playtests. Coordinate with Creative Director and other Design Leads to ensure features being worked on properly fit within the context of the overall game direction and goals and are being leveraged properly by content and combat teams. For the right candidate, this job might also entail training and mentoring entry level hires. 5+ Years as a Game Designer with previous experience working on subjects related to the player character (3C, character abilities, character progression, etc.). A deep understanding of the systems needed to make player character 3C and abilities "feel" good (Camera behaviors, animation systems, balancing, accessibility, etc.) Strong ability to think logically with a high level of attention to details. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey design specifications to team members and project stakeholders. Be a curious and enthusiast person. Experience using Unreal 4 or scripting languages is a plus.
