Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Law, Business or Economics preferred Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required Required Property Tax Sector Knowledge Understanding of how taxes are determined from the assessments returned Understanding of tax legislation pertaining to tax classifications, exemptions from taxation, and tax phase-in tools Ability to give clients strategic advice on these issues and be conversant with how taxes are allocated by Landlords to Tenants Required System & Software tools knowledge Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills: specifically, financial modelling in Tableau & Excel (including complex embedded IF statements, Vlookups and Pivot Tables) Required Product / Service / Process knowledge Technical expertise in valuations, appeals process & applicable legislation. Understanding legislated timelines Valid driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract Contributes to the local office’s ongoing market data research and industry knowledge Teaches and leads junior staff in collecting market research and data, as well as compiling and organizing it for easy access by all office staff Collaborates with peers to develop and refine data analytics to identify trends in the market and increase consultant productivity. Takes information learned from research, clients and market events to identify 5 or more potential opportunities annually to be pursued directly or in collaboration with senior staff Uses market intelligence to find ways to expand revenues with existing clients
