* Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope. * Provides support and trouble shooting for current operations. Investigates, gathers and analyze data and implement solutions. * Innovates and implements cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope. * Applies electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling and simulations. * Develops and implements plans to support lean manufacturing through the client Production System of moderate scope. Designs operations layouts. Recommend and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas. Lead team studies related to capacity, productivity, and efficiency Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations Lead selection, procurement of metal removal machines; lead planning and implementation of machining cells Lead new model preparations and procurement of tooling, gauges, new machines and more for an efficient production process Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to interact with all levels in the organization and supplier personnel Demonstrated high ability with Excel, Outlook, Word Demonstrated ability to proficiently use algebra, geometry, and trigonometry Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete multiple, concurrent projects Ability and willingness to work variable hours to include off-shifts and overtime including weekend days if needed Three or more years’ experience as a manufacturing engineer in a component manufacturing environment related to turning, milling, drilling. Demonstrated experience with the selection and procurement of capital equipment Experience with machine programming related to gear and spline cutting processes.
