Exceptional creative sound design skills Experience in a position of leadership with direct reports 5+ years AAA experience in game development Shipped a minimum of 2 titles from start to finish Excellent communication and soft skills Experience with location and in studio sound effects recording. Experience with game engines and implementation methods. A working knowledge of Wwise or other audio middleware. Excellence in a DAW such as Nuendo, Reaper, Pro Tools, and plugin software. Create sonic style guide design documentation Drive sound design palette building sessions Work with producers, directors, leads and team members to facilitate audio needs. Collaborate with Technical Sound Designers and Audio Programmers on system design, creative runtime effects, and implementation methods Collaborate with Directors on project mix and mastering Field and Foley recording sessions Collaborate with disciplines outside of audio Sound designers are expected to have a voice when it comes to new ideas, game systems, or player feedback mechanisms, and we encourage experimentation to that end. Gearbox audio works proactively and cross-discipline collaboratively and believes in being at the forefront of project design, thus inspiring creativity outside of audio in the early stages of development.
