Qualified candidates will possess five to seven years directing conferences and events; An understanding and working knowledge of video games and video game communities; Experience developing and managing event budgets; Superior project management skills; Strong communications skills; Comfort with communicating ideas, projects, and plans to a wide range of levels and leadership; and, Value and understand the importance of collaboration, empathy, teamwork, and humor. Develop, plan, and executive experiences that reflect the Gearbox brand and vision, engaging our customers, community, and partners. Manage resources, external support agencies, and contractors to host high-quality events; Negotiate contracts with vendors and business partners with support from Gearbox’s Legal and Communications team leadership; Work with Communications, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to set goals, define metrics, and ensure these are align with Gearbox’s business, communications, and marketing goals; Staff events and assist with set-up/tear down. Some travel, including nights and weekends may be required.Gearbox seeks an Events Manager to be responsible for the direction, production, and management of its internal and external events. This leader will engage, supervise, and motivate a matrix of stakeholders, including Gearbox team members, vendors, and partners.
