Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school 1-3 years of experience working in an inside sales role or as a Business Development Associate Intermediate knowledge and use of Salesforce or a similar CRM system Basic knowledge of state and local taxes General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (mainly Outlook) Ability to maintain consistent progress on call activity by being self-motivated Ability to communicate with other members of the business development team Organized and detail oriented Good communication and follow up skills Call on prospective clients for our state and local tax services, based on company lists provided by various Service Line Leaders or Key Account Executives Use appropriate tools to research and identify the correct person and level to call upon at the given company Conduct initial qualification of leads based on brief phone discussion Set appointments for Business Development Managers and Key Accounts Executives Conduct follow-ups and confirm appointments via email Update and maintain accurate records in our CRM (Salesforce) Provide feedback to others in the department related to information that prospects share that could be helpful in landing new clients ltus Group is currently looking for a new Business Development Associate. The Business Associate will be the first to initiate opportunities, introducing the Altus Group brand of services to new prospective clients, gaining their interest to engage further with one of our Key Account Executives. This position will support the growth of Altus' state and local tax practice, which includes property tax, sales tax, incentives, and unclaimed property.
