Completion of a college degree program related to game design, level design, UX design, code or a related field A portfolio website displaying at minimum 1 or 2 examples of game design work, including videos or walkthroughs about your process. Familiarity and understanding of Gearbox Software titles Learn Gearbox's tools and creative processes Learn about the Unreal Engine, specializing on optimizing content and game performance Learn to analyze game captures and follow up with discoveries from them Document and share best practices with various departments and tools engineers, helping them make performant content quickly and easily Be a sponge, and listen and learn from departmental leads, mentors, and members of other departments Assist with small design tasks on AAA projects, building on that work to bigger pieces of content Help fix bugs, iterate, and polish content based on feedback Assist other designers with their task loads as needed
