About the job Primary responsibility will be to optimize the allocation and utilization of physical space within retail stores. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the store layout and product placement strategies are efficient and effective, ultimately maximizing sales and enhancing the overall customer experience MACRO LEVEL RESPONSIBILITY To ensure Inventory Level is as per benchmark (current Option & Space) Optimize SKU Efficiency (Business category, Division & Category level ) Optimize ITR/GMROI/GMROM To ensure Category Sales, GPV and GP% gets delivered. KEY RESPONSIBILITY Space Allocation: Analyze and determine the appropriate allocation of space for different product categories, considering factors such as sales volume, inventory levels, and customer demand. Collaborate with merchandising teams to align space allocation with product assortments. Sales Analysis: Conduct sales analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Evaluate the performance of various product categories and their impact on overall store sales. Use data-driven insights to recommend adjustments to product placement and space allocation strategies. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and operations, to gather inputs and align space planning strategies with overall business objectives. Effectively communicate space planning decisions and recommendations to stakeholders at different levels within the organization. Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of space planning strategies, making necessary adjustments based on performance metrics and feedback from store teams. Industry and Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitors' strategies, and evolving customer preferences related to store layouts and visual merchandising. Conduct market research and benchmarking studies to identify best practices and innovative approaches in space planning within the apparel retail sector. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field. Relevant certifications or coursework in visual merchandising or space planning are a plus. Prior experience in space planning, visual merchandising, or retail operations, preferably in the apparel industry. Proficiency in space planning software and tools, AutoCAD, or similar applications. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and leverage sales data to drive space planning decisions & Proficiency in excel software Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication and presentation skills to articulate space planning strategies and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced retail environment.
