Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a .NET Engineer to work as part of a dedicated Development Team, which delivers first-class bespoke software development and integration projects, providing excellently managed services and consistent engagements for specialised technologies across the digital ecosystem. As a .NET Engineer, you will champion software quality and technical vision for the company and our clients and work on large-scale projects. You will have experience of writing high-quality code in a complex software environment and have delivered major technical projects. RESPONSIBILITIES Design and develop of high-quality applications; Work on large-scale, multiple industries, eCommerce and enterprise-level software development projects using languages and technologies such as .NET Core, C# .NET, Azure, MSSQL and more; Build platform integrations with external customers and suppliers; Champion software quality and technical vision for our clients; Provide third-line support of solutions in production; Hands-on coding with C#.NET; Work closely with all development, product and service delivery teams using the Agile method; Share and implement ideas for system improvements and changes; experiment with new technologies and make new suggestions where applicable; Offer technical assistance, support and development across the company; Liaise with 3rd party software providers throughout the lifecycle – including design, development, support, and maintenance; REQUIRED SKILLS Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting skills, able to understand, adapt and fix code designed without modern patterns; Experience of planning, coordination, delivery incrementally working testable software working in scaled Agile environments; Knowledge of software structures / architectures / design patterns and of the software development process and industry tool sets; Committed team player to make the impact on the team and help them grow; You should be experienced in the following technologies: At least 3 years’ experience in C# .NET Core 3.1 NET MVC (Core), Razor Pages EF Core Azure (Web Apps, Serverless, Messaging, SQL Server/CosmosDB) HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks (React/Angular) NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS API design, REST, JSON Distributed systems integration/communication, microservices DevOps experience: exposure to TeamCity, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy Worked within an Agile environment Familiar with TDD, BDD BENEFITS Competitive salary Life insurance and 24/7 access to online GP Discounted gym membership & online fitness programme Cycle to work scheme Electric vehicle scheme Perkbox discount platform Mental health support, life coaching Financial wellbeing support Nutrition plans and advice 30 days of paid holiday Career progression opportunities APPLICATION Please submit the following items with your application: • Cover letter explaining why you are suitable for the role and what excites you about working in this role for our business • Up-to-date CV
