Job Description

Role overview DESCRIPTION The Lead Product Manager is responsible for guiding a number of our clients’ products from ideation to launch to ongoing enhancement and optimisation. They must balance customer needs, business objectives and technical constraints to continually develop a successful product that meets the needs of the market. The Lead Product Manager is responsible for understanding the needs and goals of each client, overseeing market research to identify opportunities, defining product requirements and working with Candyspace’s cross-functional teams to deliver products of the highest quality and effectiveness. Additionally, they are responsible for defining KPIs, monitoring product performance and making recommendations for ongoing improvements. The role involves managing the relationships with a number of senior stakeholders on the clients’ side, as well as working closely with Candyspace’s functional and delivery teams. The Lead Product Manager is tasked with proactively identifying new opportunities to drive value for our clients and our business. The role also requires line management of Candyspace’s Product Owners. RESPONSIBILITIES Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the customer needs, trends, business context and competitive landscape in the markets our clients operate in Developing a product roadmap that outlines the product vision, strategy, and goals Prioritising features based on customer feedback, data analysis, and business objectives Creating product requirements and specifications that define the functionality, user experience and performance of the product Overseeing the definition of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the product and track progress against goals Collaborating with cross-functional teams on the client side and at Candyspace - including engineering, design, delivery, marketing and sales - to ensure product success Communicating product updates, progress and plans to client stakeholders. Proactively identifying and progressing new opportunities for Candyspace to increase our remit by driving additional value to our clients Line management and mentorship of the Candyspace Product Owners REQUIREMENTS Agency-side experience of managing high-profile, consumer-facing digital products in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience of product and proposition innovation, developing and evaluating new ideas, customer needs analysis, market/competitor analysis and opportunities presented by emerging technologies. Demonstrable communication skills that enable you to manage stakeholders, senior leaders and internal teams to identify a common set of needs and priorities A good technical understanding of technologies used in delivery of cloud-based software products - and able to explain the high level purpose and constraints of these technologies with non-technical people. Experience of recruiting, mentoring and line management of Product Owners, identifying learning and development opportunities for individuals and teams
