Summary Of Position The Production Planning Coordinator is responsible for planning and managingproduction schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company’s productive capacity as well as managing inventory levels. The position requires shift flexibility. Essential Functions And Responsibilities Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and utilize the company’s production capacity. Assists Production Manager with developing and distributing production schedules. Provides updates on order status to sales and sales support. Receives and reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning report. Releases sales orders and job tickets for production and manages purchases to support plant production. Understands and follows all safety policies and procedures. Helps support the management team by communicating unsafe practices to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures. Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining toSQF(policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees. Reviews production reports and ensures proper recording. Records and corrects errors. Motivates and retains critical personnel to meet and exceed internal company goals. Manages inventory levels, schedules, and availability of raw materials to meet production schedules. Oversees monthly inventory physical count and manages adjustments that follow in future Completes shipping information and delivery date input during sale order reviews in future Job Knowledge, Skills& Abilities Problem Solving/Analysis Technical Capacity - must be computer savvy and be able to learn how the ERP system functions and must be able to learn the manufacturing concepts Communication Proficiency Decision Making Attention to Details - must be able to understand the end-to-end customer experience Collaboration Skills Experience And Education Minimum Requirement : 1-2 years planning experience in manufacturing plant ERP Systems experience is a plus. Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, operations management or supply chain, preferred. Supervisory experience preferred but not required. Experience and training in Continuous Improvement/LEAN principles. Knowledge of Google Suites is preferred
