Job Description

Grant Investments, an Independent Financial Services office of Raymond James Ltd., is seeking a qualified Office Administrator to work in our Parksville branch. Raymond James Ltd. is one of Canada’s leading full-service independent investment dealers offering high quality investment products and services to Canadians seeking customized solutions to their wealth management needs. As an office administrator, you will provide ongoing operational administrative support to our office. You will assist in the implementation of branch directives and ensure that a high level of service quality is evident in all aspects of day-to-day operations. A self-motivated individual with administrative skills and a dependable nature, you bring to the role an ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Proven effective time management skills and a focus on client service is a must. Financial aptitude and bookkeeping experience would be assets. Specifically you will: Provide administrative support with respect to the day-to-day operations of our local branch. Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls with clients and respond to requests for information; Schedule appointments, prepare for meetings, and follow-up; Maintain client files and perform a variety of routine office duties as required; Use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs to store, edit, format, print and revise letters, memos, reports, forms, labels and other printed material; and To qualify for this opportunity you possess: Accounting or bookkeeping background would be an asset; Superior customer service and communication skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook). The ability to handle confidential information; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; The ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a professional and friendly manner; Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; and Meticulous attention to detail.
