Responsible to the Manager, Food Services to supervise the daily operation of Patient Food Services, Food Production, Warewashing, Diet Office & support Clinical Registered Dietitians, ensuring the efficient use of human resources, equipment, food & supplies. The Supervisors hold staff accountable to: follow safe work practices in compliance with legislation; produce high quality patient centered care & demonstrate the hospital values of Compassion, Integrity, Courage & Accountability. Education Graduation from an accredited Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) College Diploma program or equivalent. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years administrative Food Service experience in an acute healthcare Food Services Department in a progressive supervisory role preferred. Experience supervising staff in an unionized environment. Proficient in labour relations & understanding collective agreements. Relevant, current experience with therapeutic diet/clinical skills required. Member of CSNM in good standing required. Energetic individual with excellent verbal, interpersonal & written communication skills. Demonstrates strong problem solving, critical thinking & decision making skills. Flexible & organized demonstrating initiative & ability to multitask. Demonstrated ability to work effectively & collaboratively as a team member. Visible, approachable & dedicated to follow-up. Effective & calm under pressure. Working knowledge of CBORD an asset. Demonstrated computer literacy & competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required. Evidence of current food service industry knowledge (i.e. regular attendance at workshops, conferences, webinars etc.).
