Overview As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the warehousing and purchasing processes within the organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods from suppliers to customers. Your primary focus will be on managing inventory levels, leading the warehouse team, and maintaining a streamlined logistics operation. Kitting and Packaging: Inventory Management: Ensuring inventory is put away in a timely manner Set up cycle counts/stock taking processes Follow up suppliers to ensure inventory due dates will be achieved Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and distribution Assist in developing efficient warehousing layout, and ensure layout designs and process improvements are followed Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all warehouse operations Coordinate transportation and distribution activities to meet customer requirements and deadlines Collaborate with transportation partners to streamline delivery schedules and reduce transportation costs Manage Summit truck schedule to create freight cost efficiencies Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse staff Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to achieve departmental goals Oversee the kitting process (assembly of various parts into kits as required by the customers) Training and QA on kitting and packaging Experience And Skills Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in warehouse management Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems Excellent communication skills Analytical mindset and proficiency in data analysis tools Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities Problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations Understanding of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards Qualifications/Licenses Minimum Forklift Ideal/ but not essential: HC (minimum HR) non Synchro
