Our programs assist young people to learn social skills, independent living skills including cooking and travel training, with plenty of focus on creativity and wellbeing too. You will be supporting participants to access to the community and engage with peers. About The Positions Casual positions available with possible part time opportunities. We have shifts available from our Darra centre with the possibility of working across other Montrose locations if suitable for you. Key Responsibilities As a Support Worker you will: Develop and drive engaging programs that help customers achieve their goals and dreams. Support our customers to participate in social, recreation and skills development programs. Provide limited personal care and manual handling assistance. Be a champion for our customers and support them to achieve their goals and independence. Key Requirements Minimum Cert III in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience. Highly motivated and caring individual. Current First Aid and CPR. A current drivers’ license and access to a reliable vehicle. Hold a valid QLD Blue Card And NDIS Worker Screening Clearance. Well-developed interpersonal skills and an understanding of the importance of professional boundaries and practice. Capacity to assist in all duties and be confident to do so autonomously. General computer skills. A high level of energy & enthusiasm towards the work you do. Available for immediate start/ to commence at a short notice. Types of duties may include Supporting clients to develop and maintain independence. Support clients to achieve personal goals through community and social participation. Support clients in every day skills such as cooking, gardening, gym and fitness, travel training and money management. Understanding and implementing mealtime management plans and positive behaviour support plans. Assisting clients in the community such as going to concerts, theme parks, out for lunch, bowling and more. Supporting clients with toileting.
