Due to the nature of the needs of the client, it is a requirement of the job for the worker to be female. The client Our client is a 9-year-old female living in the Northern suburbs who is actively supported 24/7 with Department of Child Protection (DCP) supports. She is a very active young girl who loves exploring, playing outside and imaginative play. She responds well to predictable routines and regular and consistent staff, so staff members who are willing to make long-term commitments to her support would be highly regarded. There are multiple permanent and casual positions available. Experience in working with behaviours of concern and implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies and plans. Knowledge of the autism spectrum and effective strategies for support. Experience working with Allied Health teams Experience supporting clients in their homes and the community Experience supporting young people to develop independent living skills Familiarity with Active Support principles Experience or knowledge of alternative communication methods Essential Requirements A minimum Certificate IV in Disability or Youth Work, relevant industry/personal experience will also be considered National Police Clearance within the last 3 months NDIS Worker Screening Check and DHS Working with Children Check Availability to work over a 7-day roster including active/passive nights and weekend work.
