Purpose of your role Reporting to the Head of Digital Sales as part of the OFX web team your purpose as the Website Platform Manager is to develop and implement initiatives to enhance OFX’s website platform, ensuring its ongoing evolution and effectiveness. What you do: Optimize Website Platform Management by taking ownership of our WordPress-based websites, ensuring their stability, security, and scalability. Decision maker of overall technology strategy for OFX.com including roadmaps, mid to long term strategy Collaborate with the web development team to optimize Website Development and Customization by designing, developing, and deploying new features and functionalities, while customizing the platform to align with business needs. Ensure optimal Code Management by writing, reviewing, and maintaining HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code for website enhancements, while ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and compatibility across multiple browsers. Minimize downtime and enhance user experience by promptly identifying and resolving technical issues, bugs, and errors through effective Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution. Improve speed, responsiveness, and user experience by monitoring performance metrics, conducting regular audits, and implementing optimization strategies through Performance Optimization efforts. Safeguard website data and protect against cyber threats by implementing robust security measures and staying updated with the latest industry standards, ensuring compliance through Security and Compliance efforts. Ensure accurate and timely content updates, including text, images, videos, and documents, by overseeing the content management system (CMS) through effective Content Management. Coordinate website updates, gather requirements, and align website strategies with business goals by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and IT, through effective Cross-functional Collaboration. Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on website management, CMS usage, and basic troubleshooting. Understand technical SEO requirements around stability, page speed Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and industry developments in website platforms, web development, and financial services to ensure continuous improvement and relevance. Qualifications Proven experience (7-10 years) in website platform management, preferably in the financial services industry or a related field. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with PHP and other web programming languages is a plus. Ability to write, review, and understand code for website customization and enhancements. Comfortable working with existing codebases and debugging issues. Financial Services Background: Understanding of financial services concepts, products, and regulations is advantageous for effectively managing website content and functionalities related to financial services. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, present ideas, and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance throughout the website. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to support team members. Enthusiasm for staying up to date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
