As a Procurement Officer you will play a pivotal role in managing procurement, stock, and supply chain activities. This position involves placing orders, overseeing delivery schedules, addressing stock and supplier inquiries, maintaining accurate pricing and information in the system, inputting new products and suppliers, identifying potential suppliers, enhancing purchasing efficiency, and optimizing stock/product costs. Key Responsibilities: Place orders for required materials, products, and supplies in a timely and accurate manner Monitor delivery schedules to ensure on-time arrivals and address any deviations from the plan Respond promptly to stock and supplier queries, resolving issues and maintaining clear communication Update and maintain accurate pricing, product information, and supplier details within the procurement system Input new products and suppliers into the system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers to diversify the supply chain and enhance competitiveness Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and streamline processes Implement strategies to improve purchasing efficiency, reduce stock costs, and optimize product inventory Establish and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers while maintaining the company's interests Exercise firm negotiation skills to secure favorable terms without compromising company relationships Leverage strong IT/systems proficiency to manage purchasing systems, utilize Outlook, Smartsheet, printing/scanning, etc Requirements Skills & Experience Required Have experience in similar role and preferably in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing systems, and supply chain management is essential for success in this role Possess firm interpersonal skills to effectively engage and negotiate with suppliers while maintaining professional relationships and safeguarding the company's interests Proficient in utilizing various IT tools and systems, including purchasing software, Outlook, Smartsheet, and basic office equipment like printing and scanning devices A positive 'can do' attitude Communicate clearly and have high attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Good team player with the ability to liaise with multiple departments Working with overseas suppliers and co-ordinating shipping Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities We welcome individuals who meet the qualifications outlined above to apply and join our dynamic team.
