Our head office is situated in Kalbar, just 1 hour’s drive from Brisbane in the beautiful Scenic Rim, with remote operations in Bowen, North Queensland. Description: The Opportunity Reporting to our Dispatch Manager, the primary objective of the Dispatch team is to maintain effective administrative processes that enable the timely and cost-effective delivery of products ordered by our customers. This involves working closely with customers and logistic carriers to schedule deliveries while proactively maintaining relationships and managing constant change. Other key responsibilities include: Liaising with suppliers via phone, email or other communication methods. Receive and dispatch orders using our inventory management system, Freshtrack. Organising the preparation of dispatch paperwork for internal and third-party freight companies. Booking and scheduling trucks for dispatch. Maintaining accurate records of dispatched produce. Recording accurate Chep pallet, packed product bin and crate movements. Prepare and issue accurate invoices to customers. Coordinate the timely flow of information to and from customers and other related departments. Skills and Experiences: About You Above all else, we are looking for a friendly, versatile and reliable person to join our close-knit dispatch team. You will enjoy a team environment that has a strong focus on service delivery, fuelled by a healthy dose of humour and baked goods. To be successful in this role, you will also have: Excellent administration and organisational skills, ensuring accuracy in all that you do. Exceptional co-ordination and communication skills. Strong computer literacy with common computer applications (Outlook, Word, Excel etc) and have exceptional data entry skills. Experience with inventory management systems, is desirable or ability to learn quickly. Ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment that experiences constant change. Ability to identify and improve processes. Strong work ethic and focus on providing solutions when faced with problems. Previous experience in a dispatch function or related logistics support role would be desirable, but not essential. Looking for a career change or wishing to step into our industry?
