Job Description

We are happy to discuss full-time, part-time, and contractor models We are seeking experienced Occupational Therapists with a minimum of 10 years of clinical experience to join our team of Medico-Legal Occupational Therapists at Interface. If you're looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to utilize your core OT skills and clinical knowledge in a unique setting, this may be the perfect opportunity for you. Our team specializes in assessing the care needs of individuals, and while prior experience in medico-legal assessments is not required, we do expect you to have a solid foundation in clinical practice. Our comprehensive onboarding process and training program will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this role. This role is ideal for OTs who: Are willing to travel for assessments (primarily in the Sydney region, but may also include travel throughout NSW and occasionally interstate) Are able to work independently and manage their own schedule (outside of client assessment times) Seek flexible work hours and are able to balance demands such as part-time clinical work or family responsibilities Value professional development and are eager to learn from other experienced OTs Possess a curious and inquisitive mindset and are genuinely interested in the individuals they assess Have strong report writing skills and are able to effectively convey their findings and recommendations in a clear, evidence-based manner As a Medico-Legal Occupational Therapist at Interface, you will be responsible for: Conducting thorough reviews of medical information Assessing an individual's functional capacity in their home environment Writing detailed reports that comment on an individual's past, present, and future equipment/treatment/care needs and providing opinions on how to restore functional independence Potentially attending court as an expert witness (rare occasions) We offer full training, flexible hours, the ability to work from home, competitive compensation, and a supportive team environment.
