Job Description

Northern Star Resources has an exciting opportunity at our Jundee Operations. We are seeking for a driven Maintenance Planner working FIFO ex Perth on a rotation of 8 days on 6 days off. The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Superintendent, and the primary role is to develop, implement and maintain maintenance strategies in Pronto for Maintenance teams in a safe and productive work environment by ensuring all work practices/procedures meet statutory, Company OHS&E and Company operational standards within the Processing (Maintenance) Department. Your main responsibilities will include: Develop, implement and maintain maintenance strategies for Fixed Plant to ensure optimal utilisation. Develop, implement and execute timely Shutdown plans for the Processing Plant. Effective record keeping for maintenance schedules. Ensure all activities are conducted to achieve lowest cost production. Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Management of all activities so that they are carried out in a cost effective manner. Proactively contribute to self-development through active participation in the performance management system. Demonstrate support for management. Contribute to the planning process that enables production and processing optimisation. Operate in accordance with Company’s Stakeholder Policy. Required skills and experience: A trade qualification (desirable). Frontline management or equivalent (desirable). Current “C” Class Western Australian Driver’s License. Sound understanding of Fixed Plant maintenance principals and their application in practice. Sound knowledge of operation of fixed processing plant equipment. High level of knowledge in statutory safety and environmental requirements relevant to plant maintenance and classified plant. Good level of knowledge in computer literacy, in particular Pronto, MS Office. Solid awareness of Maintenance Management Systems and maintenance practices in a processing environment. Ability to plan and or anticipate likely scenarios as related to all key responsibility areas. Able to effectively allocate the organisation’s resources to achieve business requirements. Effective time management. Ability to develop appropriate action plans in order to respond to current and emerging issues. Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices. St Johns Senior First Aid certificate (desirable). Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
