Job Description This is an excellent opportunity for a Linux Systems Administrator looking to: Leverage their skills across Redhat, AWS & the Hashicorp toolset Be part of passionate and close-knit team supporting an innovative FinTech Join an organization that is expanding on their product offering The Linux Systems Administrator plays a key role in FinClears overall success ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance across our platforms. They do so by collaborating with others whilst managing and maintaining our Linux infrastructure working heavily with Redhat, AWS and the Hashicorp tool set. Reporting to the Systems Engineer - Team Lead, the Linux Systems Administrator is part of a close knit team of 7. You can expect to collaborate with other teams across Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney that forms a larger cross functional technology team of 75 and growing. This is a newly created role for the business where you will initially get to focus on projects leveraging skills across Redhat, AWS and the Hashicorp toolset. Opportunities to further expand on your skills will later also be available. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux systems, primarily based on RedHat distributions. Work closely with the project teams to build new Dev and Test environments. Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement necessary solutions to ensure high availability and reliability. Administer and troubleshoot AWS cloud environments, including EC2 instances, VPC, S3, and other related services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and maintain applications on Linux servers. Implement security measures and best practices to protect Linux systems from potential threats and vulnerabilities. Automate routine tasks and streamline system administration processes using scripting languages (e.g., Bash). Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and testing to ensure data integrity and business continuity. Proactively monitor system logs, conduct system audits, and respond to security incidents promptly. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in Linux system administration, RedHat, AWS, and related tools. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams, troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring timely resolutions. Qualifications Required: 3-5 years of experience working as a Linux Systems Administrator Strong skills and experience working with Redhat Linux Hands on experience with AWS – EC2, VPC, S3 and/or IAM Skills with IAC Strong scripting skills – Bash Demonstrable experience implementing and managing security measures and best practices for Linux systems Knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP Familiarity with monitoring tools Strong written and verbal communication skills Bonus points: Demonstrable experience across various IT Support positions Previous experience working with Ivanti ISM Consul, Nomad, Vault, Terraform Prometheus & Logstash Python Network switch, router, firewall, BGP Additional Information What are the ingredients to our secret sauce?
