The team is responsible for internal and external communications and issues management for AMP's business lines; CEO support; AGM, corporate issues management and corporate events; reputation building and stakeholder engagement through social media and digital content and group sustainability policy and reporting. About the role Reporting to the GM Communications and Sustainability, with four direct reports, you are responsible for developing and driving AMP's internal communications strategy to embed the employment value proposition and support employee engagement initiatives. You also contribute to building the external reputation of AMP through engaging digital content. Your main responsibilities will include: Deliver compelling communications to increase employee understanding of business strategy, direction and performance. Encourage employees to support and actively engage with the AMP Purpose and Values, demonstrating AMP's purpose-led and an inclusive culture. Partner with the People and Culture team to leverage and supportive HR-led initiatives to increase engagement and advocacy among employees and build leadership capability. Act as a trusted advisor and provide support to the CEO and ExCo to deliver informative, engaging and authentic communications that resonate with employees. Manage a program of engaging content across internal digital (Facebook Workplace) and external corporate digital channels to highlight business achievements and employee story-telling. Build employee advocacy and interaction with social media channels. Work in partnership with the Marketing team to ensure alignment with consumer social media channels. Support significant change initiatives, ensuring alignment with external stakeholder approach and messaging. Coach, motivate and lead your immediate team and the broader team as a member of the Communications and Sustainability team, with an ongoing focus on developing capability and driving team engagement. What we look for in you Ideally at least 10+ years experience in a communications role, with significant internal communications experience gained a corporate communications team, preferably in a listed environment Excellent writing skills with an ability to write in different styles and for a range of channels (internal and external) A content-focused approach - actively seeks out and identifies potential story opportunities to reinforce business objectives, purpose and values; and can present these in an engaging manner Experience with and understanding of internal digital media channels (Facebook Workplace preferred) and how to leverage effectively for maximum impact and reach Demonstrated ability to implement operational and/or organisational change Experienced people leader You'll bring impressive experience in the development and implementation of initiatives and processes that support and drive cultural change as well as employee engagement and advocacy. Your advanced communications skills include internal communications strategy and implementation, content management for internal and external audiences and effective use of a range of communications channels. With your excellent interpersonal skills, you make it easy to build collaborative working relationship across all levels of the organisation. You're proactive and are skilled at identifying opportunities to support business priorities through effective communication. You are comfortable with ambiguity and managing through change and are known for connecting the dots across the organisation. You are self-managing, actively seek out opportunities for improvement and take pride in your agile way of working, ability to prioritise and the quality of your work. You take a strategic approach but are also comfortable rolling up your sleeves alongside your team to get the job done.
