The Role We are looking for a Clinical Nurse/ Infection, Prevention & Control Lead, who is passionate about a person-centered approach to care, to join our 96-bed facility in Rockhampton You must be dedicated to working and understanding the residential aged care environment and standards. We have a range of shifts available and a culture of high-level empathy and compassion for our residents. What You Will Do The IPC Lead is responsible for ensuring: Responisble for Infection, Prevention & Control matters Be a positive role model and champion for contemporary infection control practice. Provide infection prevention and control training including induction training, general education, and mandatory annual training. Conduct infection control related competency assessment including hand hygiene and donning and doffing of PPE. Conduct resident teaching and education in relation to infections/infection control. Conduct infection control related audits and quality activities. Monitor staff completion of infection control training and competency assessments. Who are you and what will you bring? Registration with the AHPRA as an Registered Nurse is essential Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse in an Residental Aged Care setting and Infection Control Training Hold and maintain NDIS Worker Checks as per NDIS Act 2013 (or willing to obtain) Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills Be passionate about delivering a person-centred approach to care Interested?
