You will be supported by existing administrative staff and management to develop on the job practical skills within the Assets, Facilities and Workplace Health and Safety portfolio, whilst building more in-depth knowledge through formal study of a Certificate III Business. The Program involves being given direct and specific tasks related to your study in Certificate III Business. You will be carrying out a range of routine procedural, clerical, administrative or operational tasks that require technology and business skills. This course is fully-funded by TAFE Queensland and you will be required to complete this course during your 12 month engagement. You will be allocated study time per week so we can support you in completing your studies. The remaining time you will be supported by administrative staff and management to undertake tasks that are related to your study, within the context of the Assets, Facilities and Workplace Health and Safety portfolio. Assisting with office administration support including data entry, answering incoming calls, responding to email enquiries, collection and distribution of mail. Developing the ability to manage your own workflow efficiently, including negotiating priorities to deliver outcomes in a timely manner. Providing courteous and proactive client service. Carrying out duties with supervision as per procedures and within set timeframes Contribute to the achievements of the Region by being client focused, responsive, flexible and committed to the delivery of a quality service. How You Will Be Assessed The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities: Capability and willingness to develop the skills necessary to work well within a team in supporting the business. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, working within guidelines and procedures to provide a quality customer service. Under the direction of your manager, the ability to prioritise and plan workflow to achieve outcomes within identified timeframes. Ability to perform allocated duties within a team environment. Sound communication skills, both verbal and written. Mandatory Requirements Minimum education standard (completion of Year 10 or equivalent). Highly Desirable It would be highly desirable for the successful candidate to possess a current driver’s licence. Salary The salary range for a TAFE Trainee is $30,681 - $44,377 (gross) per annum.
