About The Role The Administration Assistant provides administrative and support services to enable the efficient operation of the Research & Business Excellence division. You will support the delivery of DPI’s innovation and risk management goals by driving scientific excellence and strategy through our research institutes and stations. As you will often be the initial point of contact, exceptional interpersonal & communication skills and customer service skills are essential and fundamental to the role. What will your day involve? Provision of high-level customer service to clients, stakeholders and visitors Filing, mail receipt and sorting, photocopying, maintenance of registers, procurement of goods and services, meeting and event support and data entry Electronic records management and collecting and compiling information and preparing documentation and correspondence Responding to enquiries and escalating and redirecting issues as required Updating and maintaining databases Assisting and undertaking onsite work experience activities to support and guide new staff and ensure work site safety The Ideal Candidate To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated excellent administration skills, with the ability to provide high quality customer service in a high-volume work environment. You will be confident using Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint) or similar and be confident learning new systems. You will be determined to manage competing priorities and develop a sound understanding of procedures and guidelines across a range of administrative and operational activities. Experience using SAP would be desirable but not necessary if you’re willing to learn. You will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills to ensure positive customer and stakeholder experiences.
